The Audiovisual Council has analyzed the genre-based statistics of nationwide free-to-air terrestrial television programs for the year 2024.

The Monitoring and Analysis Department of Audiovisual Programs within the Apparatus of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan has compiled genre-based statistics on the content of programs broadcast on nationwide terrestrial television channels throughout 2024.

According to the statistics, the genre distribution of programs aired on nationwide free-to-air terrestrial television last year was as follows:

• 23.4% – Information and analytical programs
• 16.0% – Sports programs
• 14.1% – Advertising content
• 13.5% – Music and entertainment programs
• 12.8% – Feature films and TV series
• 8.7% – Cultural and educational programs
• 3.3% – Announcements and notices
• 3.1% – Documentary films and materials
• 2.8% – Social programs
• 1.2% – Children's programs and cartoons
• 1.1% – Public service announcements
