International Conference of High Officials in Charge of Information and Media of Turkic Countries was held on 26-27 August 2017 in Van, Turkey.

Chairman of National Television and Radio Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nushiravan Maharramov participated in conference of High Officials in Charge of Information and Media of Turkic Countries. 

In the conference also High officials of Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan participated. Problems in the television and radio broadcasting sphere were discussed. During the conference it was decided to create an Association of High Officials in Charge of Information and Media of Turkic Countries. Next conference will be held on May 2018 in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
