The Audiovisual Council has decided to suspend the broadcasts of "MTV" and "Dünya TV" for three hours.
On February 5, the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a video-format meeting dedicated to recent violations detected on the "MTV" and "Dünya TV" channels.
On February 3, 2025, at 21:28, a commercial for "Doctor Seyfəddin Əsəd Clinic" aired on "MTV", where the advertisement failed to include the clinic’s license or certificate number, issue date, and the name of the issuing authority, thereby violating Article 4.3 of the Law on Advertising. Additionally, the phrase "Migraine treatment is available only at our clinic worldwide" was used in the advertisement, violating Article 6 of the Law on Advertising by promoting misleading advertising.
Similarly, on February 3, 2025, at 19:40, a commercial for "Sabirabad Clinic" aired on "Dünya TV" without displaying the license or certificate number, issue date, and the name of the issuing authority, which also violated Article 4.3 of the Law on Advertising.
Following discussions, the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, referring to Articles 39.1.4, 41.1.1, and 41.5 of the Law on Media, made a decision to suspend the broadcasts of both television channels on February 7, 2025, from 08:00 to 11:00 for three hours.
